Costco is one of those things that if you know – you know. If you don’t – well welcome to the fun.
Costco has a ton of great deals on bulk products, that’s what they’re famous for. However the membership is not always worth it depending on the size of your family and your family’s needs. These are my top 5 products to buy from Costco, regardless of your family size.
- That $5 Rotisserie Chicken. It’s the EASIEST deal that there is. The meat is well seasoned and can be used for anything from tacos to shredded chicken sandwiches. It’s delicious and an easy grab on your way through the store. Fun fact – if you want to make your own chicken broth – this one bird carcass makes over half a gallon of wonderful chicken stock that will keep for MONTHS if taken care of correctly. So that’s multiple meals and future recipes from one five dollar bird.
- Deodorant. This one may surprise people, but if you get the neutral smelling Degree Black+White, it’s 5 sticks for $15. That’s $3 per stick which is less than the regular store, and it’s so neutral smelling that even I wear it – and it WORKS. I have never ran into a deodorant that works as well as this one, so having an option that we can both use for a cheap price? Absolutely AMAZING.
- Tortilla Chips. Another one that may surprise people. If you get the Kirkland Tortilla Strips – they taste delicious, and you can bag them into gallon bags to keep fresh for longer if needed. This giant bag is only $5 and will be a huge hit at the next family taco night. They work great for dipping or as nachos so they’re very versatile while being economically priced!
- Sour Cream. This little steal of a deal is in that cold dairy cooler at the back of the store but it’s well worth it. The squeeze pouch of Daisy sour cream makes it easy for any recipe, doesn’t dirty dishes by requiring a spoon – and it comes in a double pack for only $4. Considering my local store charges $3+ for one of these bottles – definitely grab one of these bundles if you use it often for recipes like I do.
- Cupcakes. Were you supposed to bring a dessert for that family part and you totally forgot about it? Costco cupcakes are definitely the answer. For $9 you get two cases of 12 and you can mix-and-match flavors, so you could bring a dozen chocolate and a dozen vanilla to satisfy all palates. They are beautifully decorated and super delicious!
There are so many more good deals that people don’t really talk about from Costco so I’ll probably write more about it soon, but this is a great start for you to start checking out the next time you go!
